What begins with young leaders expands beyond them, creating a ripple effect of change across regions, industries and communities.

We measure impact through the journeys of our young leaders. How they evolve, seize opportunities and use access to influence outcomes. Every skill, connection and platform we provide helps them drive ventures and initiatives that ripple far beyond Moonshot.
Chantale came to Moonshot with a clear plan: to build a safe learning sanctuary for girls in a refugee camp in Uganda.
By staying in the room and engaging the community, her work became visible to the right people. At two Moonshot dinners, hosted at our patron Sheila Lirio Marcelo’s home, Chantale met Humble and John McNulty.
Together, they committed $100,000 in funding.
That support allowed Chantale to secure the building, hire staff and security, and bring nearly 30 girls into safe housing and daily education.

Moonshot has awarded $300K+ in grants through 3 Moonshot Awards, helping young leaders launch and scale social and entrepreneurial ventures. Across programs, $3.5M has been raised and deployed to nurture talent, expand learning and support changemakers.

Over 1,200 farmers across three districts in Uganda are now being supported through community-managed BSF hubs that provide access to organic fertilizers and animal feed, helping foster circular-economy practices at the grassroots level. Additionally, over 800 households in Uganda received mosquito-repellent products and newly created green spaces, reducing exposure to mosquito-borne diseases and improving daily living conditions.

A Moonshot-supported film achieved cultural and narrative impact, premiering at the Tribeca and Reelworld festivals, reaching an audience all around the world.
