EduBeyond tackles the SDG of ensuring equitable quality education and learning opportunities worldwide. Youths, especially those in underdeveloped/low-income regions, were significantly hindered in their education accessibility and quality due to financial and logistical constraints amidst the pandemic.
To combat this increase in educational disparity, we will accelerate the learning process for youths in developing regions through a gamified adaptive-learning platform. Currently, the project aims to halve the required hours for Indonesian students to reach working proficiency in English (B2, according to CEFR).
Our adaptive learning algorithm generates personalized learning plans for students based on learning results and engagement metrics. With the help of gamified courses, academic progression can be reflected in advancements in a simulated role-playing game to maximize student engagement and retention.
Currently, we are trying to raise via grants as opposed to going directly to the VC sphere. Thus advice and referals to relevant charitable and youth innovation funds would be extremely helpful.
As the founders are all in university, we have limited exposure to what a succesful governance structure looks like. Advisors in the realm of legal structure, accounting, as well as general product dev would make our work hours more efficient.
